hello folks, well, this is my 1st blog ever!!!!!
so i want to share u guys with some feelings from my work place...
im working as technical supporter at the biggest isp (interent service provider) in Israel, NETVISION-- netvision's website .
in the image u can the building of the company....
and the stories we can get there r amazing.
note:in no way!!! im not making fun of the people who call the support center, but the stories that i can tell u, are really funny, verrry funny!!! and by making fun of that stories, we, the technical supporters, dont lose our sanity, and believe me, one can lose his mind pretty soon there....
for example, i recalled a customer that called, and i took the call, one of the things i asked customers ot do quite often is to right click with the mouse, so most of the times, that is what u do, right click with your mouse..
well, i once asked a customer to right click with his mouse on the my computer icon, so he asked me in return in what hand should i do that, in left or right hand....
well, i was shocked , speechless for few seconds, and i just wanted to tell customer, hey man, go buy lego, computers r not 4 u....
but i kept pn helping him, and after 2 hours, we solved a problem he had to connect to the net, i was happy i could help him, but my head was full of shit, i was finished, and i had 6 hours to go on the shift....
well folks, i must go now, i promise to bring more funny stories from my work, and happy to c u here more often

another crazy day at work
Hi all!!!
Im writting in the middle of the shift, and its crazy here, people are calling and calling, and most of them are ok, but some of them dont even know where is the enter on their keyboard, so u can imagine how hard it is sometimes to support those ppl technically...
I had one customer today, he has dialup connection (the old type of connection-by phone-slow..) any way, he had 1 bombi message in the size of 8 MB in his email box , and he did not understand how is it that he has to wait so long while the message is downloaded to his machine.
Well, im sure that most of the people, understand that that the slower the connection is, the more time it will take one to download big units of information.
so u dont really think it was that easy, now dont u?
I tried to expalin him, again and again, in hebrew, in english, in turkish, nothing helped, i was not able to make him understand the reason for his "problem".
I know the problem was not my explanation, because i had 25 customers b 4 that 1 , and all of them understood me 100 %.
Eventually after 30 mins of talking the message got to his computer, and he asked me with a smile ( i heard him smiling) ," u know what?, what are the prices for fast internet connection??"
so im asking, why why why why, he understands such stupid thing after 30 mins, why?
more 2 come soon, and trust me, the stories are funny...

Yo everyone, long time no c....
its saturday night, im sitting again on my chair, waiting for calls of customers who needs technical support, well, its fine for now, not much callers , but its only 19:16, and the shift goes on until 23:45, so i have few more customers to "eat" .....
ok....
Imonly 1 hour and 16 mins here, in the evening shift at the technical support department, but, a funny story was already made, well, here it is folks.....
Customer called, with a problem of not being able to get his email
he uses "outlook express" as his email program, and by few checkings i made, it turns out that he is not conencted at all to the net...
Well, ok, no harm done, i explained him the problem, and just when i thought the problem was solved, the customer decided to show his best...
He started yelling that im not telling the true, and im all bullshit, and he can get his mails without internet connection (yea right, a bird comes by to your door, it knocks and deliver u the email, u fool)....
i started explaining him the logic view of why should he be online in order to get to our servers, and download his messages...nothing helped, it was like trying to piss against the wind, and get all dirty by your piss, well, i could not describe it any better then that...
Eventually, one of his best pals came by, and he knew much better then his pal, and by few seconds i explained him what was the problem, and he understood.....
That was only the 1st period of the shift, now my head is full of shit, 10x to the latter customer, how am i suppose 2 survive the rest of the shift ha??? how really???
Well, im used to it, im here for 2 years, and all one needs at this sitsuation, is cold water, cold water, and more cold water, and life goes on....

Hey!!
well, i was away from my blog for a long time,i totaly forgot about it....
Any way, the important thing is, that im back...
Im studying at the university of haifa,computer science,and who ever knows this field, knows how hard it is,how logic it is,how so math based it is.
My exams period is right over the edge,i can smell it,it comes on the june 20th-july 28th,its not going to be easy,but, it took me forever to apply to this degree,and now when im here, i must prove that i belong to the hightec community.
I only at my first academic year,i have 2.5 years to go,oh god,so many time,and its getting harder and harder.
for those of u, who knows a liitle about CS,must know that this degree consists of a lot of sitting in front of the computer,trying to understand a problem,then type an algorithm,and then implement the algorithm by programming.
When u think the program is ready,the bugs come up,the program is not working well,now,u spend hours on the debugger in order to try and find out what is wrong.
Well,alot of mathematics is involved with CS,CS is actually based on math,and that is a one to remember.
Any way,i turned to the blog,since im really excited,becasue of the upcomming exams,the adrenalin starts pumping,and i can feel my heart bits rushing from day to day.
My dream is to graduate and apply with a long term contract to a big software company or hardware,such as intel,ibm,microsoft and the list goes on and on.
I want to fast forward the rmeain 2.5 years i have left,but u know,its impossible,all i have left to do , is to rely on my linear algebra's lecturer,that always said:"the years of the first degree (B.sc) are the most beautiful in life",and its special meant for the ones who like and love what they study,and what can i say,computers are my life,has been for the last 10 years and will be forever,so this is my "bunker", always say,i love to do what i do,and thats it.
